Tori Coward: “Take Training to a New Dimension: Quick-Start Virtual Reality"

Disruptive events, such as the pandemic, as well as evolving technologies and metaverses are making virtual reality (VR) more viable for training - in both industrial and corporate settings. Whether for complex processes or onboarding a large business campus, VR can improve the consistency and effectiveness of training. When used by a group, it encourages collaboration and teamwork in a geo-neutral environment.

How can you or your team get started? What questions should you ask? This session will help you develop a successful training strategy using VR. You’ll learn to identify decisions and options for design, development, and deployment. During every project stage, there are important considerations: Which tools to use, what skills are required, and more. Together, we will explore how to quick-start a VR project.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The best types of training for VR
  • What tools are available, and the skills required
  • Storyboarding and different development paths
  • Crucial considerations for optimal learner experience—and what to avoid
